I’ve had the pleasure of photographing this family a lot – at least 8 times, I believe. I’ve gotten to photograph quite a few milestone/important times in their lives (check out Cooper’s newborn session here.) Stacey asked me to do a lifestyle session – I don’t do these often, so of course, I was a little bit nervous, but I’m actually really proud of these and very happy with how they turned out, maybe, just maybe, I’ll start offering these sessions. 🙂 It was very laid back and easy and fun.
I really enjoyed being able to come into their home…Colton was so excited to show me his toys and his big boy bed he just got, and ran around like a crazy man, while Cooper was just as content as can be the entire time. I love these sweet intimate shots, unposed and light and airy. I converted over to studio light a year ago and I hardly ever get to shoot natural light anymore – I need to make a point to, because there’s nothing like it!
Of course posed newborns are my favorites, but there is something special about being able to capture the real life – it really tells a story and documents life a little more accurately I think. 🙂
